Our premium French beans are cultivated in the nutrient-rich volcanic soils of Central Kenya, specifically in the high-altitude regions of Nyeri and Kirinyaga counties. These areas, situated at elevations between 1,800-2,200 meters above sea level, provide the perfect climate conditions for producing exceptional quality French beans that meet the stringent requirements of European markets. The cultivation process begins with careful seed selection from certified varieties that are specifically chosen for their disease resistance, uniform pod development, and excellent post-harvest characteristics. Our contracted farmers follow sustainable agricultural practices, utilizing integrated pest management systems that minimize chemical inputs while maintaining the highest quality standards. Throughout the growing cycle, our agronomists provide continuous technical support, ensuring proper plant spacing, irrigation management, and nutrient application. The beans are harvested at the optimal maturity stage when pods are tender, straight, and have reached the perfect length of 10-14cm. This timing is crucial as it ensures maximum nutritional value and the characteristic crisp texture that our European customers demand. Our post-harvest handling process begins immediately upon harvesting, with beans being transported in ventilated containers to our state-of-the-art packing facility within 2 hours of picking. The facility maintains strict temperature controls and follows Global G.A.P. certification requirements throughout the entire processing chain.
